THE FIRST HALF
The first half didn't go very well at all, and with no more than 3 minutes passing we found ourselves 2-0 down. Goalkeeping errors cost us dearly and after about half an hour Lord Napier took full control to make it three. Although the scoreline was unflattering, the Wirral Chinese had their chances. Mike Yee dragged a long shot wide while Andy had a couple of shots blocked. Finally, after about 40 minutes, the Wirral Chinese got their act together and a cross from Roger setup Mike Yee for a simple tap-in. After that, we began to play much better and later a Mike Yee shot was saved only for Andy to scuff the re-bound. But against the run of play, Lord Napier managed to score a late goal to settle their nerves going into half time.

THE SECOND HALF
After the late surge of chances in the first half, the Wirral Chinese had the belief to come back - and they did. A through ball found Andy who out-paced the Lord Napier defenders to shot and cause a save from the goalie. Then the deflection was met by Mike Yee who made no mistake in finishing the chance to make it 4-2. But we hit the self-descruct button again and another goalkeeping error conceded another goal straight after. But the Wirral Chinese responded in the right way and Andy played a through ball into Mike Yee's path. He ran clear of the on-coming defenders and slotted in his hattrick goal! But amazingly we conceded again! Several mistakes at the back allowed a Lord Napier attacker to stoll through and earn a goal to make the score 6-3. From then on we managed to stop Lord Napier scoring again and Mike Yee scored again! A run from the right from Lee was control by M.Yee and he cut inside and smashed the ball with his left foot. Although the score was now 6-4 we still believed we could get a result. A corner late on found Mike Yee in the box who only managed to shoot just passed the post. But a late goal by Lee Tsoi only proved to be a consolation.

OVERALL
There were many good performances from the entire team, but the Man of the Match medal was awarded to Mike Yee for his four goals. Although the team was weakened we still managed to get a respectable result.
