THE FIRST HALF
The first half was slow, but we quickly began to come into the game. After about 15 minutes a superb through-ball by Lee was chased down by Mike Yee. He was able to knock the ball away from the keeper who charged out. Mike Yee then composed himself and slotted the ball to Mike Scott who tucked the first goal away. After that the Wirral Chinese began to control the game and a great cross by Chung from the right found Mike Yee in the center. Mike Yee headed the ball low and hard into the left bottom corner to make it two. The two Mike's upfront were constantly causing a threat to Young Lions Youth's defence, and a ball over the top was persued by Mike Yee who was tackled. The ball fell to Mike Scott who saw the keeper off his line. He then chipped the goalie to finish the first half 3-0 up!

THE SECOND HALF
The second half was fought hard by Young Lions Youth and they managed to claw the game back to 3-2. Mike Yee was replaced by Ste Barrow to sure-up the midfield. For about 25 minutes the game was kept to 3-2, but a through-ball and goal from Young Lions Youth brought the game back to 3-3. Another goal from Young Lions Youth completed a great come-back to make the scoreline 4-3. Lee was then injured and Mike Yee came back on. The Wirral Chinese were desperate to at least draw the game level and a foul on Roger Ho gave us a penalty kick. Mike Scott stepped up and forced a save from the keeper, luckily the bounce was kind and Mike Scott finished off the rebound to complete his second hattrick in 2 weeks!

OVERALL
There were many good performances from the entire team, including Mike Scott, the midfield, the defence and the keeper, but the Man of the Match award was given to Paul for his comanding display at the back. He played an important role at the back, showing leadership skills to the other players.
