Over
the last few months we have completed several website re-design projects - which
is essentially creating a new website to replace the existing one.
More and more companies are following this trend and below are just a couple of
examples and feedback from clients who have used this service.
After
designing a brand new website for Bold Street Car Breakers in the summer of 2008,
the feedback was so positive that they decided to have a re-design only 12 months
later. Owner
Steve Fitzpatrick had the following comments on his companies re-design: "After
the launch of our first website we didn't really anticipate the amount of business
we would get [through our website]. We have a facility on our site to update our
stock list online and we had a lot of positive feedback from customers who liked
our ever-changing site - customers can check our website every day and see what
cars we have in stock. "So
we decided to re-use WWWD and to integrate all of our advertising under the same
theme with a new website, new business cards and new newspaper adverts. Now our
business looks more professional."
PCP
Limited had a boring and dated website that they wanted to look professional and
attract new customers: The
old website looked very amateurish and the company were not happy with the job
the previous web designer did at all. There were a lot of spelling mistakes and
some of the links didn't even work! This is an example of a website being detrimental
to your business. While
the website was generating hits the problem was that the site was very poorly
designed. The links weren't working so when customers would click on something
they were directed to an error page. That is unacceptable and shows the original
site hadn't even been tested properly. Now
the PCP Limited website has a modern and contemporary look and is simple to use.
Customers can find all the information they want with only a couple of clicks
and the number of hits per month has almost quadrupled in the last 12 months.
